Although many users are still waiting to receive the Android 12 update for their devices, Android 13 is the next big thing everyone looks up to. Samsung is currently rolling out One UI 4.1 based on Android 12 for all its eligible phones and tablets. Google has already begun testing Android 13 by releasing beta builds to select devices. Some Android 13 features have also been known from the beta released in April 2022. Google wants to make Android 13 more secure and feature-rich.

December 2: Android 13 is now available on several Samsung devices. The list includes Galaxy F52 5G, Galaxy A51 5G, Galaxy Z Flip, Galaxy Z Fold 2, Galaxy A52 5G, Galaxy A52s, Galaxy M62, Galaxy S10 Lite, Galaxy M53, Galaxy M33, Galaxy A22 5G, Galaxy F42 5G, Galaxy M42 5G, and Galaxy A72.

November 22: Samsung has started pushing a stable Android 13 build for the Galaxy S20 FE, Galaxy S21 FE, Galaxy A71, Galaxy F62, Galaxy Note 10 Lite, and Galaxy Tab S7 family. The update is available in some parts of Europe. It will reach more regions soon.

November 16: Android 13 is available on several Galaxy devices. This includes Galaxy Tab S8 series (Xx06BXXU2BVK4), Galaxy M32 5G (M326BDDU4CVK1), Galaxy M52 5G (M526B[R]XXU1CVJ7), Galaxy A73 (A736BXXU2BVK2), Galaxy A33 5G (A336BXXU4BVJG), Galaxy A52 (A525FXXU4CVJB), Galaxy Z Flip 4, and Galaxy Z Fold 4. The update also brings November 2022 security patch. Navigate to the Software update page on your device and check if an update is available. The update will expand to all regions in a phased manner.

November 9: The first mid-range Samsung phone to receive the stable Android 13 update is Galaxy A53. The update comes with build number A536BXXU4BVJG and rollouts in the Netherlands. The update will reach other European countries soon.

November 7: Stable Android 13 update based on One UI 5 is now rolling out to the Galaxy Note 20 series, Galaxy S20 Series, and Galaxy S21 Series in some parts of Europe.

October 25: Samsung has started rolling out a stable Android 13 (One UI 5) update for Galaxy S22 Series in Europe and Asia. Verizon’s S22 series owners are currently getting the update in the US. Also, in South Korea, Samsung has opened the Android 13 Beta program for the Galaxy Z Flip and Z Flip 5G.

October 14: Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Flip 3 device owners can now apply for Android 13 beta. The Beta program is available in the US, India, Korea and UK. Unlocked Galaxy Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra users in the US can also join the program.

October 10: Samsung is rolling out the Android 13 beta 2 for the Galaxy A52 users in India with firmware version A525FXXU4ZVJ2.

October 7: Android 13 beta 4 build (codenamed ZVJ2) is available on the Galaxy S22 family. The build is rolling out in the US, South Korea, Germany and India.

September 16: As per Tipster Ice Universe, One UI 5 beta 3 update for the Galaxy S22 lineup has been delayed to fix several significant issues, such as animation-related issues.

September 15: Indian owners of the Samsung Galaxy S21 series can participate in the One UI 5 beta program. So customers who own the Galaxy S21/ S21+/ S21 Ultra can register for the beta program via the Samsung Members app to test the latest Android 13 build.

August 31: The Galaxy S21, S21+, and S21 Ultra users in South Korea and the UK can participate in the Android 13-based One UI 5 beta program. To participate, launch the Samsung Members app and join the program.

August 26: As per a post on Samsung’s official forum, Indian units of the Galaxy S22, S22+, and S22 Ultra are started rolling receiving the Android 13 beta update. The update carries the build version S908EXXU2ZVHK in the country. It also brings the August 2022 security patch.

August 16: As per a report, One UI 5-based Android 13 beta for Galaxy S22 series may roll out in India, the United Kingdom and other remaining regions from August 23. In addition, as Google has released the Android 13 stable build, we can expect the Android 13 program for Galaxy S21 series, Galaxy Z Fold 3, and Flip 3 will start soon.

August 5: Samsung Android 13 open beta program is available on the Galaxy S22 series (Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+ and Galaxy S22 Ultra) in the United States, Germany and South Korea. You can join the beta program using your Samsung Members app.

August 1: Samsung has opened the Android 13-based One UI 5 beta official forum. This hints public beta is around the corner. As the public doesn’t access the beta community posts, you will not see any posts.

July 13: Android 13 Beta 4 is available for Google Pixel devices. The Android 13 beta will reportedly roll out for Samsung Galaxy devices in the third week of July 2022. At present, Samsung’s Android 13-based One UI 5 beta is being tested internally by employees. Reportedly, Samsung Galaxy S22 Android 13 beta firmware has version S906NKSU2ZVF6.

June 8: Google has started rolling out Android 13 Beta 3 with Platform Stability for supported Pixel phones. Samsung Android 13 release could be nearing.

Samsung Android 13 Release Date

  • Samsung Android 13 beta program was released on August 5, 2022, for Galaxy S22, S22+, and S22 Ultra. Samsung Android 13 stable build was released publicly on October 24 2022, starting from the Galaxy S22 series. Later, the stable update will also be available on all eligible Galaxy devices.

Samsung has started rolling out One UI 5 beta, which is based on Android 13. The final stable build will likely be released by the end of this year (probably in October 2022). Google announced Android 13 on May 11 at Google I/O 2022. Now, Samsung has opened a beta testing program for the Galaxy S22 family.

Samsung Android Upgrade Policy

Samsung has promised remarkable firmware update policies for its devices. Samsung has promised up to 4 years of major Android updates and five years of security updates. This includes their latest flagship S series phones and some newly launched mid-range phones from the A-series. Not just smartphones, Samsung also promised the same update policies for their Galaxy Tabs.

Many Samsung users look forward to trying out the new Android 13 features. Samsung Galaxy S22 series phones will be the first to receive the Android 13 update. Samsung will provide the Android 13 update with its next One UI version, called One UI 5.

Galaxy Tab S8 series will also be the first Galaxy tabs to receive the Android 13 update. Samsung will later roll out the update to other Galaxy devices as well.

As of now, there is no official information regarding the list of Galaxy devices that will receive the Android 13 update. But we can predict the eligibility list based on Samsung’s firmware update policies.
