When will Redmi Note 12 Series be Released in India?
Earlier this week, Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 12 series in China. The series includes four models: Redmi Note 12 5G, Redmi Note 12 Pro, Redmi Note 12 Pro Plus, and Redmi Note 12 Explorer Edition. These smartphones bring some incredible features at an affordable price. These features include a 200MP camera, Dimensity 1080 chip, and 210W fast charging.
Fans worldwide are very excited about the Redmi Note 12 series. However, the smartphone series has only been launched in China now. Fans in India wonder when the series will launch in their country.
Redmi Note 12 Series Release Date in India

Update December 7, 2022: Redmi India has confirmed its Note 12 series for India via Twitter, saying, “the legacy is about to get 12 times bigger, faster, and super amazing with the most noteworthy phone of the year. The Redmi Note 12 5G series is not just a note; it’s the #SuperNote.” So, Redmi Note 12 lineup’s launch is imminent, as it has been listed on the official site.
So, when is the Redmi Note 12 series launching? It is not yet clear when the Redmi Note 12 series will launch in India. As per a tweet shared by renowned tipster Mukul Sharma, the series has already received the BIS certification, indicating that the Indian launch is imminent. However, the BIS certification listed the smartphones under the Xiaomi branding, not the Redmi branding. He also said, “Redmi Note 12 series is coming soon to India”. But no specific release date was mentioned.
If we look back, the Redmi Note 11 series released in China last year debuted in India as the Xiaomi 11i series in January 2022. This means that the Redmi Note 12 series might be rebranded as the Xiaomi 12i series in India.
Also, the Redmi Note 11 series was launched in China in October 2021. The lineup included the Redmi Note 11, Redmi Note 11 Pro, and Redmi Note 11 Pro+. The lineup later debuted globally in January 2022. However, the lineup was only released in India until February and March 2022.
Looking at this, we can expect the Redmi Note 12 series to launch globally in January 2023. Also, we can expect the Indian release around the same time. However, if we go by what happened last year, the Redmi Note 12 series launched in China might be rebranded as Xiaomi 12i series in India. And if the rebranding happens, we can expect the launch as early as January 2023. Nevertheless, we will see India’s Redmi Note 12 series launch by Q1 2023.
